On March 2, 2023, U.S. Pulses SE Asia representatives participated in a highly anticipated event hosted by FAS Jakarta, the “Travel Show,” held at the prestigious Padma Hotel in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. This event provided an excellent opportunity to promote U.S. Pulses to a diverse audience of food influencers, distributors, hotels, media, restaurants, celebrity chefs, and U.S. Cooperators. With a focus on introducing U.S. Pulses directly to the HRI (Hotels, Restaurants, and Institutions) sector and major premium retailers, the event was an exciting endeavor to incorporate these nutritious products into local menus.

Highlighting U.S. Pulses Products

At the event, the U.S. Dry Pea and Lentil Council (USADPLC) and U.S. Dry Bean Council (USDBC) proudly showcased their table display of U.S. Pulses products. To enhance the experience, they enlisted the expertise of Chef Degan Septoadji, who performed a captivating cooking demonstration and shared his recipe for the U.S. Chickpea Salad in Chili Lime Dressing. As Chef Degan prepared the dish, he also provided valuable insights on proper storage and cooking techniques for U.S. chickpeas.
